About

Who Built This

Marc Lien. Executive in Residence at Warburg Pincus, focused on AI transformation of professional services businesses. Background in strategy consulting, consumer banking, and PE portfolio operations. Built this because managing five concurrent domains with no engineering team required an AI that compounds, not resets.

Why This Exists

Every morning I'd open Claude Code and spend ten minutes re-explaining context it had yesterday. Five active domains, each with different stakeholders, different communication styles, different political dynamics. I needed an assistant where every session makes the next one better.

Nothing like this existed. So I built it. 2+ months of daily production use. Not a weekend project.

The Thesis

Knowledge workers spend most of their time on coordination: filing, retrieving, prioritising, remembering context, adapting communication style per audience. AI agents can handle all of this - if you architect the system.

Quartermaster is that architecture at the individual level. Open source. MIT licensed. Built to be forked and adapted.
